Application Services/QA Specialist

Innovyx has an immediate need for a full-time Technical Solutions position located in our New York City office. The Application Services/QA Specialist will report to the Technical Solutions Manager in our Seattle office. We are looking for someone who has Email Service Provider (ESP) experience.

This position is a blended/liaison role between the traditional Innovyx client services staff and the IT staff. The Application Services/QA Specialist is responsible for identifying and providing more sophisticated solutions to meet our clients email marketing business challenges, advanced production, training and product demonstrations. This includes intermediate and advanced capabilities production support for dynamic content planning and implementation as well as subscriptions, SMS, mobile, polling, etc. They are a Dialogue 1to1 expert and manage the client application life-cycle.

The Application Services/QA Specialist also supports the account team(s) by providing quality assurance for our clients' email communications to their customers. The Application Services/QA Specialist provides QA sign-off on projects before release. They are also involved in the evaluation, analysis, design and implementation of QA policies, processes and procedures. This includes continuous evaluation and feedback on enhancements to test data practices used in the QA cycle.

This position entails normal office hours, with occasional overtime and travel. Innovyx is a corporate office environment. Candidate for position must have the following capabilities, skills and experience:

• Undergraduate degree required.
• Agency background preferred.
• At least 3-5 years of professional experience in marketing with 2-3 years Email Marketing or related experience including experience working with databases.
Very strong capacity to understand and analyze business requirements and develop/recommend technology solutions.
• Knowledge of QA processes and methodologies.
• Ability to partner effectively with IT and business management.
• Demonstrated skill in communicating with both business and technical partners.
• Minimum 2 years experience with operation of an email deployment platform.
• Knowledge of HTML coding such as tables, stylesheets, image tags, etc.
• Basic Understanding of Relational Database structure and terminology. SQL and Oracle knowledge is a plus
• Basic Unix/Linux knowledge.
• Extensive background in or exposure to business processes and technology best practices.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand terms.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Exceptional project management and time management skills with a track record for deliverability.
• Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills, and able to multi-task.
• Excellent presentation, listening, writing and organizational skills.
• Proficient with business applications such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
