Address Suppression

As Ben Isaacson said in a recent column on ClickZ.com, 2004 may very well be the year of suppression. The CAN-SPAM act which took effect on January 1st 2004 requires email marketers to collect and honor unsubscription requests.

While this task may sound simple there are numerous pitfalls and many mailing systems have serious shortcomings that prevent this simple task from being handled effectively.

Dialogue 1to1™ provides a number of sophisticated tools for collecting, processing and applying unsubscribes through both email and the web. Unlike many alternatives these tools operate in real-time against the subscription list and contain features to prevent erroneous use or mis-use. They also record the number of such requests for statistical analysis.

In addition Dialogue 1to1 can perform suppression of records by matching against any field or combination of fields in the database and export unsubscribed records by email address or any other key record for incorporation back into a client data warehouse.
