Growth of Rapp Collins Worldwide Prompts Three Senior-Level Promotions

Hafkin elevated to agency CFO, Rodems becomes SVP, Business Development, Whalen gets new process improvement role.

NEW YORK, August 16, 2004 — Three senior-level promotions have been announced within Rapp Collins Worldwide, one of the world's leading direct marketing services agencies and part of Omnicom Group Inc. The promotions reflect the agency's recent growth and supports RCW's focus on optimizing client service processes and results.

Matthew Hafkin has been promoted to agency chief financial officer, based in New York. Formerly vice president, Finance, Hafkin is now responsible for all financial operations and agency infrastructure in North America, with a focus on all aspects of operational efficiency and resource management. He replaces Robert Horvath, who was recently appointed to the new position of president, Direct Marketing.

Steve Rodems has been elevated to senior vice president, Business Development. Based in Dallas and formerly vice president, Business Development, Rodems has played a key role in many of the agency's new business wins during the past few years. In addition to continuing to meet prospective clients and represent the services that the agency can bring to bear on a client's business, he assumes the additional responsibility of working more closely on overall RCW partnerships.

Rich Whalen has been appointed to the newly created role of director, Process Improvement, based in New York. Whalen will utilize his project management skills gained as a senior producer in the agency's interactive group to identify and promote best practices in both client service processes and internal agency activities.
